Moved House

Well since my last post in March we have moved house, we decided on 11th March to put the house on the market & had an offer on 15th April we accepted & found a house we wanted, and moved on 24th June, can't believe how quick we did it!! Anyway we are really settled and getting the place how we want it, didn't think we would settle so well as we had lived in the other house for over 32 years. My hobby room is nearly sorted and I should be up and running soon, can't wait to start creating again.

New Packaging

I am just in the process of re-vamping my jewellery packaging, all jewellery will now be in packets with all my details on, it is starting to look very nice. I am also thinking about having a discount sale of all my old stock in March, probably for Mother's Day to make way for new stock coming in Spring and Summer.

I am just about ready for a sale at Cafe West, Wanstead Crescent, Allerton, Bradford on Friday night, from 7pm price includes refreshments, tickets £5.00. There will be other sellers there but as it's the first time I've been here I don't know what it's like. Hopefully will be good and get my name out to other customers.

Nursing Bracelets

Just made some nursing bracelets for new mums. Basically they help mums to remember the next feed time for baby. They have numbers 1-12 with 3 beads in between to represent the quarter hour, you move the charm to the time of the next feed, they are ideal for bottle and breast fed babies, if breast feeding put the bracelet on the wrist of the side you will start the feed next time.

Relaxing a bit

Did the mumsworld event on Saturday, met some very nice people and made more than my stall money back, it was quiet, but I think maybe a lot of people were still on holiday. I am going to do the mumsworld shopping evening in November and the Christmas event in December, they might be a bit busier. I am having a relaxing day surfing the net today and then will start to make more jewellery to help towards all my other sales and parties. I have 8 events between now and christmas. Going to be busy, busy, busy.

Just about ready

I am now just about ready for my next sale, it is in the Cairn Hotel, Ripon Road, Harrogate, this Saturday 22nd August from 10.30 to 2.30 in the Promenade Suite. It is for mumsworld events. I have just finished my inventory and got everything ready as I have a 50th birthday party tomorrow night, so don't want to have to be too rushed on Saturday morning, sadly not much drinking will be done at the party as I will have to drive to Harrogate for the sale. There is free entry to the event and free car parking and the first 200 people will receive a free goody bag. Hope to see you there.

Been making new jewellery

Sorry not posted for so long, have had a busy year so far. For the first time since starting my hand made jewellery business I have had some sales every month, which is fantastic and I have things booked to the end of the year. So far I have done 5 sales at different venues and 3 jewellery parties and 1 pamper evening. I have 5 sales and 2 jewellery parties booked to do later in the year.
Not had much interest in the handmade wedding stationery lately, but hoping that will change soon, also not had many enquiries about handmade tiaras and bridal jewellery. All my wedding stationery and tiaras and bridal jewellery is be made to order and can be done in any colour to match the colour and theme of your wedding. At last after 8 months of my web site being up and running I have finally had a sale, it was for 2 phone charms, so it is hopefully the start of good things to come. I check the site most days but didn't go on last Friday as we were helping Shelley & Paul move house from Baildon back to Otley, so didn't see the order until Saturday morning, it took a while for it to sink in that I had a sale!
I have ordered some Gemstones so am going to make some jewellery with them soon, they will have tags on to say what the stones mean and the healing properties that they have. It will be interesting to work with different beads.

Since my last post, the lady who asked about wedding inserts doesn't want them, shame, would have been nice to do.
The ladies trip to York was very nice, had a lot to drink, but wasn't drunk!!
I made some new necklaces and took them to our local club on Saturday night and Sunday lunch time and sold quite a few, thanks ladies for buying from me again.
We have taken our caravan in today for the floor to be sorted, we had a soft spot in it, so they are going to fix that and put us a new carpet in, get it back in 10 days.

Must start to update this more often.

Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Been busy. Since the last post we have got our touring caravan and been away twice. Just to little small and quiet sites, but we enjoyed it.
I have 2 Tiaras in the window of our local Daisy Mays at the moment, they are doing a wedding theme window, so asked if I would put them in with my business cards, Thanks to Emma for thinking of me.
I have had my first enquiry from my website, someone wants just inserts for her invitations, but if she decides she wants me to make them it's a start.
I have also been asked to do a cardmaking demonstration and sale at a Friendship Club in October, so hopefully some nice sales for Christmas, I have already made a few Christmas cards for this, some more still to do.
I am going to York this afternoon on a Ladies trip, should be good, hope the weather holds, but I don't suppose we'll get too wet in the pub!!!!

Not been on for a while, been busy getting some jewellery made for a party I'm doing in a couple of weeks, it should've been tonight but Lisa double booked. Also me and Alan have decided to buy a touring caravan, should be ready to pick up next week.
The weather is lovely at the moment, but I've heard it is supposed to snow over the weekend, roll on summer, can't wait for some lovely sunshine!

Been down to Dudley in the West Midlands for the weekend with 3 friends, Liz, Joyce and Mandy, had a great time! Thanks girls for a really great time. Stayed with Liz's brother-in -law Stan, Thanks Stan for putting up with us!! Poor man his house isn't his own when we go down there.
I have to go to our local hospital tomorrow for a glucose test to see if I may have diabetes, I have to have a fasting blood test and stay there for 2 hours, not a very nice way to spend the start of my 30th wedding anniversary! But we will be celebrating later.

Hello again, well at long last I've done my web site. Craig and Laura bought me it from Mr. Site for Christmas, It finally arrived at the end of January, so I started it on the 4th February, finally finished it today. Please have a look and let me know what you think.

Hi, sorry I've not updated the blog for quite a long time. I have been very busy. Unfortunately my step-dad died on 2nd January and I have been down to my mum's a bit. I usually go down a couple of days a week and do some shopping and have a coffee and a chat with her. We are going to our local garden centre tomorrow, it's also our local craft shop, so there might be some spending done!! We will also call in at the cemetary as we haven't been since the day after the funeral.
I have also been busy setting up a Mr. Site website. It is a lot of fun to do, and so far I'm quite proud of it. Mr. Site put it on Google after 6 weeks, so I have allowed myself that time to get it all ready. So hopefully I will be on google on or around the 17th March, I will keep you posted. So as they say, "Watch this space".

Well it's been a while since I was last on here, been a bit busy, my stepdad is very ill at the moment so I've been going down and helping my mum a bit. Also my son Craig married his fiancee Laura last Wednesday, Halloween. It was a lovely day at Hazlewood Castle near Tadcaster in Yorkshire. Everyone had a great day. They had a blessing in the chapel at 7 in the evening for those who couldn't come to the day do, and then a disco after. All of us who stayed the night had our rooms up-graded and we had a lovely room with a massive 4 poster bed! As soon as I get my photos sorted I will put them on here for you to see. Congratulations to Craig and Laura for last Wednesday. Also a big raspberry to the very nice (not) policewoman who stopped them after they had gone to pick their dog, Buster up from the kennels and gave Laura a fixed penalty fine for not wearing her seatbelt, she was just putting it on! But she didn't like it cos she couldn't find anything else to get her on. She even had the nerve to say her driving license was in the wrong name, she hadn't been married for 24 hours by then! Some people don't have an ounce of common sense.
Tonight we are going to an evening reception for our neighbours who got married this afternoon, it's been lovely weather today so I hope they have enjoyed themselves. So congratulations to Suzanne and Richard. Suzanne is the one I made the Suzanne Tiara for.

Today I've made an anniversary card for some friends of ours, if your looking at my blog, Happy Anniversary to Liz & Eric! 27 years tomorrow. I won't post a picture of this card because it has a photo of them on it & I don't know if they would appreciate me publishing it to the world.
Hopefully I'm going to take some photos of my wedding stationery later this week and put them on here, I don't know how they will turn out as they are embossed and the camera can't always pick this out well, but we'll see.

Sundays seem to come round so fast.

Well it's Sunday again, We always go to the local social club on Sunday lunch for a little drinkypoo and a game of bingo, (I know I'm sad). Anyway today I took some jewellery in for my friends daughter, Mandy to take and see if she can sell anything for me & she already had an order for a phone charm for her friend at college, which was a nice suprise.
I have been telling people on the forums I belong to about my blog, so a big THANK YOU to everyone who has had a look, especially those who have said they like my tiaras, your kind words are much appreciated!
I am going to be a bit busy this week, but I hope to get some more things on to show in a few days, so please keep popping back.

This is Suzanne, I made it this week for a wedding in November, it is on a silver-plated base and wire, with small cream pearls and Light Rose AB and Crystal AB Swarovski beads.

This is Alexandria, it is a lovely, simple tiara which could be worn anytime, it is on silver-plated base and wire, with Cream Swarovski Pearls and Crystal AB beads.

This tiara is Zara, it is on silver-plated base and wire, with Capri Blue and Crystal AB Swarovski.

This tiara is Diana, it is on gold-plated base and wire, with Light Azore and Blue Zircon Swarovski beads.

I have decided to show a few tiaras, this one is called Victoria,it is on a gold-plated base and has Siam and Crystal AB Swarovski beads, I always use good quality components in all my jewellery.

Hi Everyone,

This is my very first attempt at blogging. I hope to be able to update on a regular basis, although I am always full of good intentions.

Here's a little bit about me, my name is Sue and I've been married to Alan for nearly 30 years, we have 2 children, Shelley who is married to Paul and Craig who is marrying Laura on 31st October this year.

I make greeting cards, Wedding Stationery, Jewellery and Tiaras. I started a few years ago making cards to give to family and friends, and slowly over the years it has grown so that I have now registered with the inland revenue as a small business and sell my things through Party plan and word of mouth. I would like to thank everyone who has bought from me in the past, and hope you will buy from me again. As soon as I get myself organised I will post pictures of some of my creations for you to look at, with prices, so if you are interested you can contact me to buy.
